Dear Andrew Conti, We have seen , and been impressed with your work. We would like
to invite you to become a part of INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF ARTISTS (ISA). If you agree
with THE ARTISTS' STATEMENT and would like to participate in ISA, please join the
society. It is founded by artists and for artists. All together we will develop our
society throughout the world. We are artists living in different countries, who have
met at the Florence Biennale 2003. Artists are aware of the great importance of Art in
the contemporary world, more keenly than people from the governmental or any financial
institutions. We are responsible for the destiny of Art, therefore we have no right
to be passive. The prestige of Art must be restored, Art must be recognised as an important
part of life and needs to relate widely to people. To achieve these goals we have founded
INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF ARTISTS (ISA). ISA is non-profit cultural organization registered
in Sweden. There are no registration, membership or any other fees. Your accord will make
you a member of ISA.

Thank you for donating your time last Monday to give a presentation to my group of
Phoenix Art Museum dosents. Your step-by-step presentation clarified the role of the
lost wax process in the creation of cast metal sculpture. It cleared the confusion
most of us had as a result of a recent foundary visit where we were shown only the last
few steps of the process, and we enjoyed the hands-on experience with your beautiful
pieces. Thank you from all of us. Phoenix Art Museum Dosents, Class of 2001

Don't know if you actually read these things or not but I do think of you often Sue,
so I will give this a shot. It's good to finally know you are well and thriving. To
see you looking so young and vibrant helps puts to rest a giant and painful question
mark that I had about you. I guess it's stupid to keep trying to reconnect, but I
loved you too well to ignore this opportunity. Obviously I've never given up hope

Like your work. Saw a page on one of your sculptures while messing around with the
computer to avoid doing any useful work. Found this when searching USS Toledo. I was in

Hi Sue & Andy! Tom Bast steered me to this page. It's great to see what paths your art has
taken (I love it). I'm back in Ossining for the past 4 years (after years in the City),
have a wife (Janice, graphicdesigner) and son (Collin, 6, budding creative genius ofsome sort
or other), and working as a computer tech forRusty Murray (!) & his wife Abby (their son Max
is Collin's best friend). We have an office where Goldie's used to be,so I' get to be close
to home and go into the city a lot. Anyway, in my extremely limited free time I write music,
sculpt a little (I'll send you a photo image), study philosophy, religion, and occultism (I'm not
a religious fanatic anymore, if I ever was). This is probably more information than you would
ever want from me, but I'm glad to see you (artistically at least) thriving, and always think
of you (Sue) and your family (that would include you, Andy) fondly. Drop me an email if
you're so inclined.

Hi Sue and Andy. My name is Paul Suarez. I am the artist who created and installed the
first life-size bronze monument in the United States (featured in the New York Times,
March, 1996). I like your page a lot! I love art. Sounds like you have been in the art business
for a long time. I have been in the bronze art industry for 10 years. My wife's name is
Gena, and we have 5 kids. My brother lives in Phoenix. Nice to find another artist on the
internet. Hey, let me know if you know of any foundries looking for a manager. I used to
manage Studio America (crew of 13 - small). I do enlargements, fabrication, castings, etc.
I work for another artist right now (day job), but I sure would like to find a better paying
position, something with benefits. Currently, I am gearing up to do a commission (night job -
self employed artist) for the City of Madera. They unanimously voted (mayor and city council)
for me to be the artist who designs and installs a memorial bronze for a police officer there
who went down in the line of duty. Anyway, nice chattin' with you. Keep up the good work!
God bless, Paul.

WOW! Whatta great page! Thank you for sharing, I thoroughly enjoyed learning of the
spirit of my instuctor - a person's heart and soul have always meant far more to me than
credentials. One is God-given, the other fabricated.
I was born in Yonkers and grew up in the Hudson River Valley, in fact across the street from
Jasper Johns. I used to shovel his driveway in the winter. When I was about 10 years old I
critiqued his work "Basketweave" as only a 10-year old can. Upon looking at this 10'x10'
canvas covered with crosshatchings of lines in all shades of brown, I asked ..."yeah, but can
you DRAW anything? :):)
Yes, I was bent on making my living as an artist, to my mother's dismay. I was accepted
to the Harriman School of Graphic design when I was a senior in H.S. but the college folded
that same year. It's nice to see evidence that dreams never die. They may fade in and out
in their brilliance in our lives, but they NEVER die.
Thank you again for having shared an unseen part of yourself with us. Sincerely, Vanessa
Vanessa Girardi

Your work is beautiful, it reminds me of the clear and smooth lines of Brancusi and the
organic qualities found in the work of Henry Moore. Best of luck to you. By the way your
"work in progress" couldbe titled "Family". From the moment I set
my eyes on it "family"is the first thing that popped into my head. As for Susan's
work, I find it reminiscent of Dubuffet.

think the market gives this type of art the recognition it deserves. Ann Bedrick is another

Andrew... Good to see your work is getting worldwide attention. When we were struggling
math students at Youngstown State University, andworking together in the local television
coalmine at $2.80 an hour, who dreamed you would rise above it all to demonstrate such
artistic prowess. I am proud to be your friend and I take consolation in sharing your birthdate...
6 years later. (We are getting old.) Regards to Marion... Marc Howard

Andrew Conti, SCULPTOR?? All I remember is Andrew Conti, OHS MATH TEACHER!
My brother gave me your URL. I'm glad to see that you've been keeping busy. You and
Fiorella are the only two OHS teachers that I respect to this day. And I bet Fiorella doesn't
have a web page! Regards to all, John Bast (OHS '73)*

Tutti di complimenti, Andy! How elegantly presented. It's a thrill for me to see you in
action in this way. I'm really interested about the nuts and bolts of setting up your home page-
how long it took, what kind of technical help you needed, if any..., how much it cost. I'm so
new to all of this and it's so exciting. I've given your address to other Sydneysiders who have
been complaining about airy fairy stuff relating to art on the net. This should help 'up the
game', as they say here. I was tickled to read my name in your bio- thank you for that. You
may want it to read Sydney,Australia instead of the unknown suburb of Allambie Hts. Looking
forward to hearing from you. Great stuff- well done. Vanessa

Good start, Andy! I assume that you will expand it to feature many of your other
avocations.
